the web
the tub is draining slowly
And I feel as though the air in my lungs is being replaced with a heavy smoke
I am working on accepting impermanence
As I am feeling myself deeply entangled in an intricate web
Every movement, felt eternally
There’s a heavenly symphony playing I can just barely make out,
My breath is long and loud, my heartbeat even louder
There’s a drum beating in my belly,
I hear it in my chest,
In my fingertips, up and down my body’s outline
contemplating my ancestors presence in the glimpses of my shadows,
But also,
in the brilliance of our light and
there I am energized in knowing
Separateness is an illusion.
They are in the way I drink water, the way my body rolls like dice when I play on the forest floor, or tumble down a hill
laughing so brightly
Illuminating a reason as to why we are here.
Maybe perhaps just to feel things in a body was once a divine decree
An order from The One abundant source
What will you remember when it is time to go that made you smile so softly?
You recall the way the sun felt behind your closed eyelids
Or the way the trees held you, or the water held you or the moon held you
You were an angel from the moment of your birth
And I wish you great surrender in your journey of returning to your core
